  • Corpus Christi is awarded the Platinum School Games Mark

Platinum School Games Mark awarded to Corpus Christi

The School Games Mark is a government-led award scheme (which is nationally recognised) which assesses and celebrates the school's commitment to developing sport within our school and community. Therefore, it allows schools to assess their PE provision and create an action plan for improvement.

The Schools Games Mark ranking system rewards schools for their engagement in sport and physical activity, by offering a tiered award structure of:

    Bronze

    Silver

    Gold

Platinum (for consistent high achievement, which is the highest achievement)

When applying, applications are graded against a set of criteria covering a number of aspects such as:

    • Participation
    • Effective teaching to all learners
    • Competition
    • Leadership
    • Ability for children to access local sports clubs

Also, the County or district SGO assesses then verifies our applications to see how effectively we engage our children in sports and physical activity.

After assessing our application, the SGO decided to award us with the Platinum Award, which is the highest award a school can receive.
